Simon Barrad will sing the lead baritone role of Josef Kavalier in a workshop performance of the Metropolitan Opera’s new commission by composer Mason Bates and librettist Gene Scheer, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Michael Chabon. Rehearsals at the Met and the workshop will culminate in a performance of the piece at the Lincoln Center Theater conducted by Michael Christie on December 10.
