In a first of its kind collaboration between Cincinnati Song Initiative and The Cincinnati Holocaust and Humanity Center, Simon Barrad will present an original program of music by Jewish composers in and around the Holocaust. The songs will be punctuated by liturgical music found in the world renowned Birnbaum collection of music manuscripts housed at Cincinnati’s own Klau Library at Hebrew Union College. This concert will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the death camp at Auschwitz.
Ken Griffiths plays piano with Simon, and the concert will take place at Reakirt Auditorium located in Cincinnati’s historic Union Terminal.
